MEDIATHEKA SŁUBFURT —– reloaded

The Słubfurt Media Library has been documenting the development of “Słubfurt” and Nowa Amerika since 1999. It provides the context against which the reinterpretations of the German-Polish border region and the towns of Frankfurt-Słubice have given rise to a shared space. At the same time, the Media Library serves as a portrait of these long-term projects, which continue to this day.
Films, objects, publications and the ‘pneumatic tube’ invite visitors to look, reflect and get involved. After a year-long journey across the German-Polish border, the media library found its permanent home in the autumn of 2011 in the library of the Collegium Polonicum. It has now been revamped and is available to everyone for research and educational purposes.
